Our dustless hardwood floor sanding set-up

We have a complete dustless system and dustless processes to keep our job sites spotless. For example, all our sanding machines used to restore wood floors get hooked up to a powerful vacuum to suck the dust away. Below you can see some photos of them in action...

Our 3 Step Dustless Sanding Process...

Here's our Fargo dustless hardwood floor sanding and refinishing process in detail...

Step 1: Dust Containment

The first and most crucial step to our dust-less sanding is capturing the fine dust before it becomes airborne. We achieve this by attaching all our sanders to top-of-the-line dust containment units. For example, our big drum sander runs off of Oneida’s Vortex Gorilla Vac, and we also retro-fitted our drum sander with their Vortex Cyclone kit for maximum efficiency.

Any dust that our dust containment systems don’t pick up is too heavy to be airborne. So at several points during our sanding process, we vacuum any dust accumulated on the floor.

Due to the efficiency of our dust containment systems, we typically don’t need to hang plastic sheathing over doorways and cabinetry. However, we would be happy to hang plastic at your discretion for more peace of mind.

Step 2: Final Coat Pre-Cleaning

After the sanding process is complete and we are done making dust, we spend time cleaning any fine dust that may have escaped our dust containment units. This ensures a dust-free environment for the final coat. We do this by wiping down and vacuuming the woodwork and any horizontal surfaces, such as window sills, tables, picture frames, etc., that may have accumulated some fine dust.

After our Pre-cleaning, the project area is usually cleaner than when we arrived!

Step 3: Free Professional In-Home Cleaning

Let’s face it. If only a tiny amount, there is always some dust left behind, even with the best dust containment units on the market, which means we can’t claim a 100% dust-free sanding experience.

Our solution? We hire a professional cleaning company to come and clean your home after the project is complete. This way, we ensure your home is cleaner than when we arrived.

End of job clean up

We have a great relationship with the cleaning company and take full responsibility for hiring them. They do a fantastic job. As a result, many homeowners hire them monthly after their free cleaning.

Since we often leave your home cleaner than when we arrived, many customers feel they are wasting the free in-home professional cleaning by using it right away. So we allow the free cleaning to be used within six months of project completion and in any area of your home!

CUSTOMER feedback

In our past house we put in hardwood flooring and had them refinished by a different company. The refinishing was a nightmare because the dust was throughout the house and ruined the carpeting. We moved into another house that had old hardwood floors... We used another company. There in only one way to say how we feel after Natural Accent was at the house and did the floors-Unbelievable!!! We had no mess from the dust!!! Jim was so kind and respectful!! We highly recommend Natural Accent to do any flooring project!!! Lynnette Lein | Fargo, ND
